The before photo is taken after a meal, in overhead light, standing relaxed with the hips tilted forward. The after photo is taken fasted, in front light, braced, pumped, and often months earlier than the caption implies. Neither picture is a lie on its own. The pair is.
None of that requires any dishonesty about the training. It is four decisions about a camera, and they are enough to show a change that did not happen.
The cheapest version does involve dishonesty: the same two photographs turn up on more than one account selling more than one programme. We have not counted how often, so we are not going to tell you it is common.
This is why there is no before-and-after anywhere on this site, and why we are not planning one. A photograph is the one piece of evidence a reader has no way to check, and asking you to trust it is the same move we are objecting to.
What we would rather show you is a log, with the weeks where the weight went the wrong way left in. We have not published one yet. When we do it will be because there is something real to put in it, not because this page needs an ending.
